ADDENDUM: Various members of raep_time took exception to my comments. I don’t really care, but it has been brought to light that we haven’t properly explained why we’re dropping OOFURI, so here’s the explanation: We are not going to waste our time scanlating something that is already being scanlated, albeit poorly. Our experiences in the past months have taught us that there is no integrity left in scanlating. People will do what they feel they must. We will not be competing with anyone for any project. If you feel you can do a better job on a project than we do, and if you have no scruples, go for it. The FIVE situation was settled amicably by One Love, a very nice person who simply didn’t know that it was frowned upon to take other groups’ projects. We’ve let them take it over because they simply like the project more than we do, though they DID offer to let it go. They also made the offer to collaborate our efforts on it, which we declined. This is the last time I’m revisiting this issue.

We’ve got a few announcements to make today. First of all, we’re dropping FIVE. Another group has amicably taken it over. We’ve also dropped Oofuri, which most of you will probably have guessed by now. That was not done so amicably. We think Raep Time is the scum of the earth. If they had offered to help us with it, we’d still be releasing HQ versions of it. But they didn’t, so you guys are going to have to content yourself with half-assed, poorly edited and proofed versions from now on. Blame them, not us. We’ve got enough projects to worry about. Finally, we’re dropping Mononokemono. We simply did not like it. If anyone wants to pick it up, we have the rest of the volume scanned and we’ll be happy to donate the scans.

I’m very excited about our new project, OYASUMI PUNPUN. It’s by one of my favorite mangaka, Asano Inio, creator of such manga classics (at least to me) as SOLANIN and NIJIGAHARA HOLOGRAPH. We’ll be doing this project in conjunction with Mangascreener, so make sure you head to their channel, too.
